Dinosaurs and More
Monday-Friday,
June 28–July 2, 2010
Ages 3-5 meet 9:30 am–noon.
Ages 5-7 meet 1:30–4:00 pm.
This week is devoted to dinosaurs and other extinct animals. Children learn of animals from the past through play, literature, crafts songs, and displays. Pretend you are a paleontologist as you hunt for real fossils that you can take home!
Water, Water Everywhere!
Monday-Friday,
July 12–16, 2010
Ages 3-5 meet 9:30 am–noon.
Ages 5-7 meet 1:30–4:00 pm.
Brainstorms may not produce water but they will help us list all the places water can be found. From the clouds to the oceans, we explore water features and the water cycle as we listen to stories, sing songs, make crafts, float our boats, and even get our feet wet!
Creepy Crawlies
Monday-Friday,
July 19–23, 2010
Ages 3-5 meet 9:30 am–noon.
Ages 5-7 meet 1:30–4:00 pm.
This camp will "bug" you as we focus on the insect world and other creepy, crawly critters. We learn how creatures with 6 legs, 8 legs, or no legs at all are an important part of life on earth. Create your own insect, jump like a grasshopper, chirp like a cricket, and witness the life cycle of a butterfly!
Science on the Ground
Monday-Friday,
July 26–30, 2010
Ages 3-5 meet 9:30 am–noon.
Our youngest scientist wil be looking down their noses this week to learn about dirt, rocks, plants and other things beneath our feet. Playing with dirt becomes a science as we make mud pies, start a rock collection, and prepare a feast for ants as we watch them hard at work.
Earth Gone Wild!
Monday-Friday,
July 26–30, 2010
Ages 5-7 meet 1:30–4:00 pm.
Campers explore the "wilder" side of our planet to learn about volcanoes, earthquakes, tidal waves and extreme weather. Make a model volcano that can erupt, prepare for a hurricane, and learn how to stay safe during a lightning storm.

The Great Outdoors (ages 8-13)
Monday–Friday, June 28–July 2, 2010; 9:00 am–noon
Through nature hikes along the river, interactive games and challenges, campers learn about the animals that inhabit their backyards. Make animal casts and create your own animal track ID guide to take home with you for future explorations.
Things that Move You (ages 8-13)
Monday–Friday, July 19–23, 2010; 1:00–4:00 pm.
Learn about force, motion and energy as we explore the science of what, when and how things move you! Use your discoveries to design, build and launch your own water rocket as you apply scientific principles of motion to rockets.
Amusement Park Science (ages 8-13)
Monday–Friday, July 26–30, 2010; 9:00 am–noon.
Campers explore the many ways that physics affect their daily lives and how it is used to create the most exciting ride in the park. Learn about the forces behind a favorite thrill ride, the roller coaster. Campers work together to design and build their own miniature roller coaster.
