Have you ever wondered how speakers work? Come to our Creativity Lab and explore the technology behind speakers in an exciting, hands-on way. Learn how to create a working speaker from paper and other simple materials like magnetic wire. Not only is it possible, but it is also fun! Challenge yourself to construct your own and amaze your friends with a real functioning speaker.

Creativity Lab Activities

Harness your creativity and problem-solving skills in our maker space the J.T. – Minnie Maude Charitable Trust Creativity Lab! Creativity Labs are included with Science Center admission and are 45-minute, educator led, experiences designed to tap into your creative power.

All participants must be 8 years or older. Participants under the age of 13 must be accompanied by an adult. Creativity Lab activities will close 10 minutes after their scheduled start time.
