Discover the principles of physics and engineering in this competitive challenge.
April 23 – April 27
In this catapult-like project, creators will apply the basic principles of physics and engineering. Using a limited set of craft materials, challengers will build a device to launch a ball as far as possible. As an added twist, the challenge will also include constructing a receiver to catch it! The greater the distance, the higher the score.
Harness your creativity and problem-solving skills in our maker space the J.T. – Minnie Maude Charitable Trust Creativity Lab! Creativity Labs are included with Science Center admission and are 45-minute, educator led, experiences designed to tap into your creative power.
All participants must be 8 years or older. Participants under the age of 13 must be accompanied by an adult. Creativity Lab activities will close 10 minutes after their scheduled start time.
