If you're looking for a camp experience that will give your camper the chance to discover new things and have fun, all while keeping curious brains engaged, then your camper belongs at the Danville Science Center!
This summer, we’re offering four weeks of camp. Two weeks are designed for campers ages 4 – 7 and two weeks are for campers ages 8 – 12. Camps will be offered Wednesday – Friday each week and camp will either take place in the morning (9:30 a.m. – noon) or afternoon (1:30 – 4 p.m.).

June 9 – 11, 9:30 a.m. – noon
Ages 4 – 7
Learn why water is so important to all living things during our adventure designed especially for budding scientists. Discover the changes water undergoes as it moves from one state to another and explore the many facets of water through experiments, activities, games, and more.
June 16 – 18, 9:30 a.m. – noon
Ages 8 – 12
From the 17th century until now, electricity has fascinated people. Explore the world of moving electrons that power our world, move us from place to place, and light our paths while keeping us comfortable and safe. Discover how electronics, motors, and circuits function, while discovering ways to produce electrical energy.
June 23 – 25, 1:30 – 4 p.m.
Ages 4 – 7
Why are bugs so different? How do they move? Are they helpful or hurtful? Explore the fascinating work of insects. Observe their habitats, their beautiful physical makeup, and the various stages of development. Create feeders to take home to feed some of our important pollinator friends.
June 30 – July 2, 1:30 – 4 p.m.
Ages 8 –12
Curiosity and innovation enabled humans to explore the natural world, build the tallest buildings, travel to the ocean depths, land man on the moon, and send back pictures from the edge of the solar system. Challenge your curiosity as you design and build structures to withstand extreme conditions. Use basic coding and computers to control and program robots. Design materials to take flight. Experience the capabilities of drones and more!
