Meet a wide variety of beautiful native and non-native butterflies!
Timed Experience Open April–Mid-September
Called magical and incredible by guests in online reviews, the Butterfly Station is a fan-favorite experience during the warmer months.
Located just outside the Science Center, the Butterfly Station houses hundreds of nature’s most beautiful creatures from across Central and North America as well as pollinator plants that provide the winged wonders sustenance.
During this timed experience, you can tour our Butterfly Station to find out which type of caterpillar certain plants attract, learn the best methods to attract butterflies and get inspired to create your own butterfly garden.
Science Center staff add new butterflies to the space often, so guests will have new insects to see each time they visit!
Please note: the Butterfly Station is open Wednesday–Saturday at 10:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m., 2:30 p.m. and 4 p.m. It is open Sundays at 11:30 a.m., 2:30 p.m. and 4 p.m.
