Step into the world of Thomas the Tank Engine and explore all your favorite locations and iconic characters.
Opening May 28
The world’s most beloved blue engine rolls into the Danville Science Center, May 28! This amazing STEM-based exhibition lets kids and families explore the world of Thomas & Friends™ like never before. Experience some of the Island of Sodor’s iconic locations in person, including Knapford Station and Sodor Steamworks.
Featuring train loads of fun interactive educational activities and mathematical challenges designed to keep your little one engaged and learning. Climb onto Thomas the Tank Engine, learn how locomotives work, explore the rail yard, or put on your conductor hat to take tickets. By helping Thomas and his friends your child will learn essential math and critical thinking skills. They'll also get an introduction into force, gravity, and motion by racing trains on our gigantic wooden railway replica of the Island of Sodor. Plus, we also have a permanent train-themed exhibition dedicated just for preschoolers called Crescent Crossing and we're located next to a real working train station!
Don’t miss out, bring your little rail fan to Thomas & Friends™ : Explore the Rails!, open May 28–September 4. The Science Center is full of fun interactive things that are sure to keep your entire family entertained all day long.
