There's So Much to Discover Over the Summer!

If you're looking for an experience that will give your camper the chance to discover new things and have fun, all while keeping curious brains engaged, then your camper belongs at the Danville Science Center!

This summer, we’re offering four weeks of camp. Two weeks are designed for campers ages 4–7 and two weeks are for campers ages 8–12. Camps will be offered Tuesday–Friday each week and camp will either take place in the morning (9:30 a.m.–12 p.m.) or afternoon (1:30–4 p.m.). Super Sounds *SOLD OUT*

June 11–14, 1:30–4 p.m.
Ages 4–7

Visualize vibrant vibrations! Discover how different instruments produce their unique sounds and create instruments from common household materials. Campers will make music with math and discover the energy in motion.

Sound Science

June 18–21, 1:30–4 p.m.
Ages 8–12

Listen up! Discover the physics of sound, music technology and the recording arts. Campers will explore audio engineering while making a functional speaker to take home and share with others. Plus, they'll travel to the cosmos to learn about sounds of the solar system and beyond.

Wildlife Wonders *SOLD OUT*

June 25–28, 9:30 a.m.–12 p.m.
Ages 4–7

Discover the wonderful world of wildlife! Create a habitat to house or feed birds, bugs and other creatures. Use scientific instruments to study the magnificent monarch and other beautiful butterflies. Future ecologists will get wild playing animal games and spread their wings while building friendships.

July 9–12, 9:30 a.m.–12 p.m.
Ages 8–12

Game on! Create the art, animations, backgrounds and storytelling necessary to design a custom video game. Campers will fabricate challenging obstacle courses then navigate them with aerial drones. Get ready for some fun and friendly competition.


Camp Details

Summer camp is $70 for members and $80 for non-members per week. Camp fees include a daily snack and all camp activities. To register for camp, please call 434.791.5160 or fill out the registration form and email it to us at [email protected].
