Meander

Weave your way through the Science Center and experience Meander, an homage to the Dan River!

The art installation, installed in 2021, is made from 200 blue-toned curvilinear forms. The one-of-a-kind piece was designed to recognize the Dan River’s historic, economic and recreational significance to our local community and region. Meander is made from 3form Varia, a specifically formulated co-polyester resin that keeps environmental responsibility in mind. The repurposed material hangs from stainless steel, helping guests imagine the flow of the nearby river just beyond our walls!
