Whether it’s by plane, train or automobile, don’t miss out on Danville Science Center’s Rail Days on June 20 and 21!

The Science Center has been hosting Rail Days since 2003, welcoming guests who jump aboard to learn about locomotives. Crowd-pleasing N- and T-scale trains return to Science Station, Danville’s railway home.

This event features traveling trains in intricate landscapes and miniature cities. With elaborate displays created by private hobbyists from up and down the east coast, guests are sure to enjoy seeing the trains in action.

Our touring exhibition Curious George™: Let’s Get Curious! adds to the experience with an opportunity to play, learn and explore together as you step into George’s adventures. Get hands-on with STEM activities inspired by everyone’s favorite little monkey before or after your time with Rail Days festivities. Then, complete your visit with a trip to our Butterfly Station, which is open this year for Rail Days with a seasonal display of winged wonders from across Central and North America.

Registration Information

Rail Days are included with Science Center admission. As a special incentive, your ticket to ride on Saturday is only $5. Members, active military and children three and under are admitted free. The Science Center offers discounts for EBT cardholders.
