The Danville Science Center has been the Dan River Region’s educational and cultural anchor since 1995. Inspiring more than 50,000 guests each year, the Science Center offers the chance to explore STEM concepts and skills with interactive exhibits, hands-on activities, live demos, touring exhibitions, breathtaking presentations in The Dome and special events.
The Science Center completed a major refreshment of its core exhibits in 2020. These world-class experiences are custom designed to give guests of all ages new chances to discover the STEM all around them. Our atmosphere is immersive, fun, and innovative, one where everyone can experience how STEM affects their world and their future.
No matter your age, income level or science background, the Science Center is all yours. Yours to experience. Yours to discover.
The Science Center is a part of the Science Museum of Virginia, a state-supported agency of the Commonwealth of Virginia whose mission is to inspire Virginians to enrich their lives through science!
Your generous support enables the Science Center, now and in the future, to spark inspiration, encourage guests to challenge what they know, and look to the future with STEM as a guide.
Whether you're looking to be part of our staff, want to help out as a volunteer or just want to feel like family by becoming a member, there is a place for you at the Science Center!
