The Science Center works to create a welcoming and accessible environment where guests can discover new things about not only the world, but also themselves. The Science Center encourages guests of all ages to question what they know, and inspires young innovators to envision a future shaped by STEM.

Danville Science Center Foundation Mission
- To promote the Danville Science Center in its mission of science literacy for all Virginians, particularly for the residents of Southside Virginia and neighboring counties of North Carolina.
- To provide financial and other support for the Science Center’s touring exhibitions and general operations.
- To secure partnerships with schools, businesses, civic organizations and corporations.
- To maintain an endowment for the perpetuation of the Danville Science Center.
